Sadly we lost Blue on October 28, 2001. Ms Blueberry
(and affectionately called Blue) came to my daughter as a puppy. I'll never
forget the first time I saw her... I immediately fell in love as did everyone
who had the privilege to know her. She was a faithful companion to Lisa.
It was hard to hear she had been fatally hit by a car through no fault of
anyone.
Russ never personally met Blue much to my regret but he feels
as though he knows her and as a dog lover has been amused when told about Blue's
antics. Even though my relocation to England made it impossible to enjoy
Blue on a daily basis, Lisa made sure she kept me up-to-date on her. Never
will I forget the stories about her stealing whole plates of food when she
thought no one was looking...
I am happy to have shared in her life and even when I had
gone back for a visit, she immediately knew me and greeted me as only Blue could
do. Learn more about Blue by clicking

Those that knew her best like to think of her as romping with
other dogs who have passed on and waiting for the one she most loved and cared
for... to join her one day. I'm sure she will wait patiently as she always
did. You will be sadly missed, Blue. We'll join you one day again.

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow
Bridge
When a dog dies that has been especially close to someone here, that dog
goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special
friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water
and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the dogs who
had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or
maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams
of days and times gone by.
The dogs are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss
someone very special to them; who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and
looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass,
his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you
and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion,
never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands
again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes
of your dog, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together......."
